Drama for your mama

Oh man,
So here's the skinny, I'm about to start med school in few days. So many feelings so little time. Nervous, happy, worried, impatient. On top of that my two sisters are duking it out which always sucks. Sister A is getting married. Me and sister B are bridesmaids but Sister A and Sister B are fighting because the bride wants two showers (one G-rated one for family and one that's more of a girls night out). Sister B says she's being unreasonable and demanding and called her a bridezilla. Oh man, I knew this would happen.

How am I related to these people?

Sometimes I wonder how I am related to some of my family members. Case in point, my great-aunt who has to be the craziest woman around town, and not in a cute-older-lady-still-gets-around-or-tries-to-be-hip kind of way. I mean, you can't tell this woman ANYTHING. Everything you do (even if it's to help her) is automatically wrong. She has a nack for making enemies out of everyone, from the neighborhood kids who go past her house to the neighbors who she complains put too much trash in their trash can (and she tells them this to their face). I used to feel sorry for her and held out hope there was a sweet, lonely lady somewhere deep inside. BUT now, I know better there's not, or if there was that sweet, loney lady got screamed at and got out while she still could.

One Women's Bathroom

Why oh why is there only one women's bathroom in the science building at my school!? I know the building was built a long time ago, but how long ago exactly...like the 1890s?? Seriously, it's ridiculous. I came to this conclusion today after trying to use the bathroom on 3 different floors before I found one that was unoccupied. However, the fact that there seems to be a lack of restrooms does lead me to believe that our "gentle sex" is making some progress in the field of science which makes me happy... because as we all know...I can do anything better than you, I can do anything...'cause I'm a girl :D

I heart yarn

I don't know why but I love yarn. It's a dangerous obsession to have since it requires more and more space (to stash special balls of yarn) and more and more time to make projects with aforementioned special balls. Lately I rediscovered two beautiful yarns I bought just before Christmas when I visited this awesome yarn store in Santa Monica called Wildfiber. Since they were both quite pricey I bought only one ball of each yarn, limiting me on what I could actually make--but hey all I care about is that I have the yarn. The first is Gossamer by Karabella Yarns in white pearl and one ball of Alpaca Cotton in Raindrop by the notoriously awesome Rowan Yarns. While I still haven't figured out what to do with the Rowan (my dream is to make a hat but I really doubt I'll have enough of the stuff) I've decided to make a cowl with the Karabella. As a result as of late I've become obsessed with trowling the internet and for a cowl pattern that is worthy of this yarn.

The start of this blog.

So, today I am starting (or actually re-starting) this blog. Of course I've had lots of blogs before this one but as with so many projects I start, it eventually dies a slow death as I become busy with other things. That said, let's try this again.
