5 weeks almost down, 5 weeks still to go

Quick recap of my birthday...wow 29 years go by so fast. It was a really wonderful day though, at least in my mind! I told myself I would be happy all day and it pretty much worked out. My actual favorite moment(s) of the day were: a) I got to PBL (nearly late) and much to my surprise they sang happy birthday to me...wow and 2) when I went to go meet up with a study group and I got a surprise B-day cheesecake!! Since summer is so close I can feel myself getting happier by the day and this week I was outside running around for nearly 4 hours...that's the most in a VERY long time and I must say I've enjoyed every moment of it :)

The long road to medical school: I am really glad I brought my husband with me to med school

So, was feeling slightly frustrated today for reasons that are too lengthy to go into when I did a little internet search and yup glad to have the internet today. Oldmd's blog post from '09 pretty much sums it up:

Eureka! I'm Quirky.

So, a couple of days ago a wonderful person I know paid me a compliment that at the time made me squint my eyes, cock my head to the side and raise an eyebrow (of course I did this internally so she couldn't see). What was the compliment? She called me Quirky. At first I didn't know what to think, was this really a compliment? What exactly does the word "quirky" mean anyways?! Well, after some deep web-searching-googling time I've found many websites/blogs/definitons and have decided that yes, indeed she's right! According to the results of an online test I just found after googling the word "quirkly" this adjective fits me to a "t":
Many unique hobbies and obscure interests: Check
Tend to be a bit of a loner at work/school: Always
Find myself telling jokes that no one thinks are funny/or gets: YES!

Yup, I think it's OK to be quirky, mainly because I am.
